Week of August 6, 2012

Work on the Red Gate Road bridge project continues at a rapid pace. Pier 2 is nearly complete. The sealcoat for pier 3 was poured on Thursday. The footing will be poured early next week. Work on the roadway, east and west of the Fox River continues. McHugh also did a significant amount of work for the soldier pile wall on the east side of IL 25. .

During the next week, McHugh will continue to work on piers 3 and begin their final preparations in advance of setting the structural steel for the pedestrian bridge structure over the river. They will also continue their work on the IL 25 retaining walls. McHugh’s subs, Hecker and Western Utility, will continue to perform their underground work.

AT&T and Comcast both have some relocations to complete along IL 31. AT&T also has a duct to relocate on the west side of IL 25.

Work continued on the culvert replacement that IDOT added to this project. The detour for IL 25 is still in effect. As of now, It is anticipated that the work will be complete on August 10. Additional updates will be provided as the date gets nearer.
