    The past two weeks have been very busy on the Red Gate Road bridge project. Even with the Thanksgiving Holiday, many construction activities occurred. A partial list includes: completion of the bridge deck concrete pours, pouring of the trail bridge deck, paving and striping of IL 25, and installation of bridge rail & guard rail.

    Many major milestone events occurred during the past week. About half of the main roadway bridge deck was poured in addition to grinding and paving along IL 25. Traffic signal construction moved forward at both the IL 31 and IL 25 intersections. Finally, all of the multi-use path bridge cables were tensioned.

    During the past week, there has been a significant amount of progress on the Red Gate Road bridge over the Fox River.

    The last seven days witnessed a great amount of work being performed on the Red Gate Road bridge over the Fox River. Shear studs, decking, and rebar placement all proceeded rapidly. The cable stay anchorages were also being installed. Concrete pavement was poured east of the bridge. Finally, roadway lighting was worked on at the intersection at IL 31 and asphalt widening was placed along the west side of IL 25.
